Welcome

From the Director of Student Services

Brent Linn
Director of Student Services

After my first semester serving with Mid-South Christian College, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has given us such a warm welcome. We have found a dedicated and competent team of professors and staff who share a common vision. We want to prepare men and women, both English and Spanish speakers, to fulfill God's global vision. We want to serve those who are going to dedicate their lives to the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

My background is that of a church-planting missionary in Venezuela, on the northern tip of South America. I went there immediately after graduation from Cincinnati Bible College (now Cincinnati Christian University) in 1988, and participated in various church plants in the Caracas area. I also met my wife Yoisa in Caracas, and we now have four children; Daniel (14), Stephanie (13), Andrea (12), and Christopher (9). During an extended furlough I received the Master of Divinity degree in Biblical studies from Cincinnati Christian Seminary (in 2002), and I'm thrilled to be teaching New Testament and Greek courses to our Hispanic students.

I am excited to be working with this group of students at Mid-South, and I'm looking forward to meeting the new students who will come. During this last semester we shared some thrilling volleyball games and inspiring chapel services. We prayed for each other in times of need, and laughed with each other in the hallways. There were times of service to others, of encouragement when papers were due, of discussion of current themes, and of celebration when God answered our prayers. This is a group of students that wants to make a difference in the world, and I want to help make that goal a reality.
